Okta Auth0 Universal Login
The application uses cookies from Okta Auth0, set on the service’s login domain auth0.taskquark.com, to keep the user logged in and to protect the login, by recognizing the device and filtering automated traffic, and a small cookie on the application’s own domain that records whether the user is logged in. These are essential cookies, necessary to use the service.
Google Sign-In
The Okta Auth0 login page offers sign-in with Google. A user who chooses it goes to Google’s own pages, where Google may set or read its own cookies, under Google’s own cookie policy, to authenticate the user and protect the sign-in. These are essential cookies, necessary to sign in with Google.
Stripe Checkout
The checkout page is run by Stripe, which sets its own cookies there to process the payment and prevent fraud. These are essential cookies, necessary to pay for a subscription.
Plausible Analytics
The website counts visits with Plausible Analytics, an EU company that hosts its data in the EU. Plausible sets no cookies, stores nothing on the user’s device, and uses no persistent identifiers. It keeps only aggregate counts (the pages visited, where visits come from, the country, the type of device, and clicks on a few buttons such as Sign up) that do not identify any visitor. The application does not use it.
Browser storage
The application keeps its interface state (the pad open, the selected project, task or note, and view options such as the sidebar or the weekend days) and the user’s session in the browser’s local storage and session storage. This is strictly necessary for the application to work as the user left it, and is not used for analytics or advertising.
The user can control these cookies and this browser storage, as described below.
Controlling cookies
The user can block or delete cookies and browser storage in their browser settings. The website needs none. The Okta Auth0 and Stripe cookies are essential: if they are blocked, the user cannot log in to the application or pay for a subscription.
